But you could still check out Slavia (although not as spacious and not as luxurious as the Octavia) as it has a killer 1.5 TSI engine with a 7-speed DSG which is an absolute hoot to drive as mentioned in the Team BHP review as well. Hope this helps!

The 1.5 is probably the shout. Arguably the sweet spot in the range performance / economy-wise. After the 1.8 (158bhp) you may find the 1.0 slightly sluggish, especially if you use your estate to lug stuff about. Good luck. Either way, the Mk3 is a decent step up in most regards.
The Mk3 Octavia comes with a selection of engines to suit a range of needs. The entry-level 1.2-litre TSI petrol unit produces 104bhp and an impressive combined fuel economy of 57.6mpg, while the 1.4-litre TSI has an output of 138bhp and efficiency of 53.3mpg.
. Answered by Honest John. Depends which DSG it has. if it's a 1.6 TDI it has the seven-speed dry clutch DSG, 2012 examples of which were filled with the wrong (synthetic) oil on the production line and which should have been recalled to have it changed. If it's a 2.0TDI it has the six-speed wet clutch DSG which is supposed to have a transmission
Other engine options include a 1.5-litre TSI petrol with 150 hp, a 1.6-litre TDI diesel with 120 hp, and a 2.0-litre TDI diesel with 150 hp. 6-speed manual and 7-speed DSG automatic gearboxes are available. Diesels are available from €33,295. My test car was a Superb 1.5-litre TSI DSG in Sportline trim with a list price of €39,955.

Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI DSG Review. 3. Possible Choice C : You may be able to get an uncleared stock of previous gen Octavia L&K with a huge discount. Except from the infotainment screen which looks bit outdated, I don't see the new gen car significantly better in any other areas.
Re: Skoda Octavia 2.0 TSI DSG Review Hey Folks, does anyone have any idea if and from where we can procure these chrome muffler tips and black spoiler as seen on Octavia Sportline variant seen abroad.
