Hello folks! I recently discovered that my Mini won't fly above 30 m or beyond 50 m. I've had it since December 2019 but thanks to the weather in my area haven't been able to fly it all that much. I don't know if those default limits always existed -- having lost 2 flyaway drones (not Minis!) in tall weeds I keep the Mini low and close -- or
24#. With the Drone Rules 2021 officially published on 26th August 2021 the green zone height has been lifted to 400ft (120m). Hope DJI would quickly update their app to let us, the Indian customers enjoy the true potential of these drones and even invite new customers.
I know it varies by location but I live out in the country and I can't get 3k-5k feet distance out on my mavic. Tried a different location and barely got 3500 feet. My old p3p I could get 13k feet at the same location. One of the main reasons I bought the mavic was portability and claim range of
According to DJI, the Air 2S can reach a height of 3.5 miles (5 km) as its maximum service ceiling above sea level. However, in many countries, the maximum legal height to fly a drone is 400 ft (120 m) above ground level. The maximum distance you can fly your drone away from the remote controller also plays an important role in how high you can
A2 Legacy aircraft (2kg max, such as DJI Mavic 2 Pro/Zoom, Mavic Air 2): No closer than 50m horizontally. Open Category – A3 – Fly Far From People. This subcategory involves flights far away from people. It is for larger aircraft and for pilots who have an A1 Legacy or A2 subcategory aircraft, but have not obtained an A2 CofC.
. (Not available for any drone newer than Mavic 2 [except Mini1]) To see the different power output in CE and FCC mode for your drone model pelase just open the technical data at the DJI website, they list it there! Boost mode is ONLY available on old drones (Mavic Pro 1 etc.) it is NOT available on new drone series with exception of the Mini1.
I have enquired about this before with the M2EA drone and was told this isn't a possibility due to the restrictions being set at the firmware level, which can't be unlocked unless DJI give you a custom FW. Flysafe can authorise zones to allow a drone to exceed the 500m limit, but the Mavic series just won't be permitted.

Mavic 3 Pro has a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad camera and dual tele cameras, and all three cameras of the Cine version also support Apple ProRes codecs. DJI Mavic Mini flies 2.4 miles in long-range, distance test - Amazing performance for mini-drone. Around 2,700 meters, which is 1.7 miles, I got the first weak signal warning to notify me about decreased Wi-Fi performance. There was a second message at 2,950 meters, which is about 1.8 miles. And then a little later at about 3,000 meters, which
Firmware limits height from takeoff to be 500m. If you're taking off from ocean shore, then the 500m AGL is also MSL for that flight. If on the other hand you are flying in Denver, then the 500m applies relative to takeoff altitude. I'm pretty sure none of the Mavics will fly at the top of Mt Everest.
