Having had a 2.0 tdci mondeo and being a ford tech I’ve came across this on my own 130000 mile car and others, 2 rubber pipes off the dpf to the bulkhead sensor brake up, suck in or just crumble away, either way you need to replace those, some times the sensor also. You then need ids to do a forced regen because it hasn’t been able to do one.
Hi ive got a 59 plate 2 litre tdci mondeo, earlier it did a regen when i pulled onto my drive so i left it for about 10 mins to finish and then switched the car off like normal, later on i went out again and drove no more than another 10 miles and when i pulled back onto my drive it did the same
This remapping Suits all Focus STD and Mondeo 2.0 TDCi This MAXD Stage 3 workshop installed remap has been made to suit the Ultimate Pumaspeed X-37 Hybrid Turbo and will take the ST250 Diesel engine with a DPF delete and extra breathing modifications and bring out the very best from the engine .
Regeneration can be performed while driving the vehicle. This episode of Tech Talk discusses the proper driving conditions to allow your DPF to go through regeneration, as well as what you
I drive a 60 plate Mondeo 2.0 tdci. Just fitted a new dpf yesterday after having the p2463 fault code. Reset the soot levels using forscan and took it for a drive and the car felt fantastic but after 10 minutes of driving the 'engine malfunction' light appeared and i now have the p244c (exhaust temperature too low for regen) code.
. I have added Wynn's DPF cleaner, cleared trouble codes, and went for a ride. Regeneration kicks off, but after several minutes end with P244C. Temperature reaches 580 C. Anyway, soot load values decreased a little bit (closed loop - 89 % to 50 %, open loop - 131% to 108%).
Hi, I'm having exactly the same issue with a 2007 Mk4 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI (no vaporiser). Had the aftermarket DPF installed about 2 months ago and now having an issue with fuel in the oil. Was wondering if the reset of the DPF settings you had done in May resolved the issue, thanks.
DPF constantly regenerating. I've been having a dpf nightmare with my 60 plate mondeo 2.0 tdci for the past few months. After replacing a faulty egr valve and vapouriser and regenerating the dpf i finally have no fault codes or warning lights. My problem now is that within 5 minutes of driving a Regen starts and it doesn't end.
If the DPF does not regenerate and the PM level fills to more than 90% or 45 g, it will be necessary to replace the DPF or clean it with a professional machine like the DPF REVIVAL. When installing a new DPF, the ECU must be reset so that the system knows that the values are those of a new DPF and the malfunction warning is not triggered again.
The DPF regeneration can be done both actively and passively. The dealer can perform both with the IDS. I have seen the options myself on the IDS. You can perform it yourself by driving at 60 km/h in a lower gear for 30-40 minutes according to the IDS. In the manual it says at 80 km/h.
